Protect Rohingya Youth: Support RYNP to Prevent Trafficking, Child Marriage & Violence

The Rohingya Youths Network Protection (RYNP) is a Rohingya-led community-based organization working to protect and empower vulnerable Rohingya refugees living in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Our organization was founded by Rohingya youth who have experienced displacement, statelessness, and the daily challenges of life in refugee camps. We believe that the people most affected by a crisis should have the opportunity to lead solutions within their own communities.

Today, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya children, women, and young people continue to face serious protection risks. Poverty, overcrowded living conditions, limited educational opportunities, unemployment, and restricted livelihoods increase the vulnerability of refugee families. These conditions expose children and youth to child marriage, human trafficking, gender-based violence, child labour, exploitation, and psychosocial distress.

Many young people lose hope because they lack opportunities to develop their skills or contribute positively to their communities. Families often have limited access to reliable information about protection services, legal rights, and available support. Community awareness remains one of the most effective ways to prevent exploitation before it occurs.

RYNP exists to change this reality.

Our mission is to build safer communities by strengthening protection systems, promoting education, empowering youth leaders, supporting women and children, and encouraging community participation. Through awareness campaigns, training sessions, volunteer networks, and community engagement, we help families understand protection risks and take practical action to safeguard vulnerable people.

We are seeking USD 6,000 to implement a six-month community protection project that will directly benefit approximately 300 vulnerable Rohingya refugees and indirectly reach more than 2,000 community members through awareness activities and community outreach.

The project will focus on several key areas:

• Child Protection Awareness

• Human Trafficking Prevention

• Child Marriage Prevention

• Gender-Based Violence Awareness

• Youth Leadership Development

• Life Skills Training

• Community Volunteer Capacity Building

• Educational Awareness Campaigns

• Community Dialogue Sessions with parents, religious leaders, teachers, women, and youth

• Monitoring, documentation, and transparent reporting

The funding will be used responsibly to organize community training sessions, produce educational materials, support volunteers, cover transportation and communication costs, conduct outreach activities, monitor implementation, and prepare reports for donors. Every expense will contribute directly to protecting vulnerable people and strengthening community resilience.

Our expected outcomes include increased awareness of child protection and trafficking risks, stronger youth leadership, greater community participation in protection activities, improved referral of vulnerable cases, and stronger cooperation among community leaders, volunteers, and families.
