AZ StRUT (Students Recycling Used Technology)

AZ StRUT (Students Recycling Used Technology) is Arizona's premiere non-profit refurbisher. Dating back to the late 1990's, AZ StRUT has been taking care of e-waste state-wide, and providing equipment and education to Arizona residents. 

Each week AZ StRUT processes over 19,000 pounds of e-waste, diverting toxic elements from the landfill. What sets AZ StRUT apart from the other recyclers is our commitment to education.

We partner with around 50 Arizona schools to provide equipment and guidance in STEM education classes. Our student partners in these 'Techie Labs' become more skilled and learn with hands-on and real-world experience.

For those not in a classroom, we offer Techie Experiences to groups of learners (including adults) who can benefit from hands-on technical training.

Our Techie Lab and Techie Experience participants are among the recipients of the approximately 150,000 devices we have distributed in our 25+ years of service. We also donate devices to other nonprofits to help spread our commitment to end the digital divide.
