Camp Acacia

At Camp Acacia, we believe it is unacceptable that people with disabilities live shorter, less healthy, lower-quality lives compared to typically developing peers. We empower people with disabilities with the skills needed to engage their communities, and life, through recreation. This expands opportunities and increases longevity, health, general well-being, and quality of life.

Camp Acacia is a residential summer camp located in Gentry, AR serving a wide range of diagnoses. Our seven different summer camps are unique within themselves, serving different age ranges and ratios, specific to the needs of those attending. Camp Acacia is a therapeutic experience for campers – individualized to their needs and interests designed to lay the foundation for a lifetime of engaging in recreation.

We acknowledge we are only as strong as our diversity. We are advocates for our campers, their families, and social justice, fighting daily to ensure ALL our campers live long, happy, engaged, and healthy lives.

Camp Acacia has a cutting-edge facility that includes an accessible challenge course complete with a zipline and giant swing, zero entry swimming pool with splash pad, accessible playground with incorporated sensory park, bike trails for all abilities, regulation sized outdoor basketball court, and this is just the beginning of our offerings.

We are on a mission to recreate every recreation activity available in our community at Camp Acacia and are always expanding our offerings and facilities across major domains of recreation available in NWA. We have dedicated ourselves to making sure everyone gets to play, always, and for the entirety of their life.
