City Growers: Local Impact, Global Resonance.
City Growers is a youth development and education organization developing the next generation of climate leaders. Our classroom is New York City, where we use unique spaces such as Brooklyn Grange rooftop farm to equip local youth not only to see an inspiring climate solution in their own backyard, but to create their own solutions. Our programs, priced to ensure accessibility, create a pipeline of stewards, green workforce contributors, and leaders who will ensure that urban nature thrives and benefits all.
Our work is local and community-based, but the model we have created to connect youth to nature in the City is a global model. During 2025 Climate Week, City Growers was visited by the mayor’s office in London to learn to replicate our success in educating youth about urban nature in the UK.
By investing in community and investing in youth, we are working to create a better future locally and globally.
