The Hurricane Aquatics Foundation is a 501c3 organization that believes that basic water safety and learning to swim is a skill everyone should possess. With an estimated 40K people in Miami who don’t know how to swim, and many not able to afford quality swim lessons, our mission is three-fold:

  • Provide full scholarships for life-saving swimming skills to individuals who can't afford swim lessons, regardless of age. Programs range from infant swimming lessons for babies, private swimming lessons for those ages 6 to elderly, and group classes for children ages 5-13.

  • Provide either partial or full scholarships for life-saving swimming skills and fitness swimming programs to cancer patients of all ages and abilities. Swimming can a safe and fun way for patients to stay strong and maintain endurance while undergoing treatment. Or be an enjoyable way to build strength and endurance after treatment, as part of a remission wellness plan.

  • Provide partial scholarships for swim lessons or recreational swim programs to; (active, retired or family of the fallen)- first responders and military. As well as partial scholarships for their immediate family for swim lessons and recreational swimming.
