Skate Park Progress Update!! 5/6/2026

Kevin’s Dream Is Getting Closer!

We are excited to share some major progress

on the skate park!

After 8 1⁄2 years filled with challenges,

especially finding the right piece of land,

we are thrilled that land selection is no longer an obstacle.

The park will still be located off Hemlock Lane,

now to the right of the paved cul-de-sac.

The site survey is underway, which will locate the

Pillar’s skate park design on the property;

The site has been assessed for soils, drainage,

and any necessary grading;

The Town has received authorization to move forward with the funding request from the State;

The grant final submittal was due Jan 9th and we’re  excited to say we met that dead line!! 

At this point, we are working possible park programming

and finalizing the master plan for potential future development.

When our journey began in 2017, the estimated cost of a 10,000 sq. ft. skate park was about $325,000. Today, that cost has more than doubled.

We have raised through Grass roots and grants 

Almost $400,000

We are crossing our fingers we get the matching grant. That was submitted 1/9/26!

Obtaining this matching grant 

will allow us to break ground!

We are not going anywhere!

Just patiently waiting for all the red tape to clear!
