Luca Rising Foundation

The Luca Rising Foundation was created from one family’s journey through one of the rarest immune disorders in the world: congenital athymia.

When our son, Luca, was born without a functioning thymus, we entered a world filled with uncertainty, isolation, and unimaginable fear. We quickly discovered that while this diagnosis was incredibly rare, the need for support, education, and connection was enormous. Families were climbing impossible mountains with little guidance and few resources.

We founded the Luca Rising Foundation so no family has to make that climb alone.

Our mission is to empower children and families affected by congenital athymia and other rare, medically complex conditions through education, advocacy, community, and direct support. We provide welcome kits for newly diagnosed families, educational resources, peer mentorship, financial assistance when possible, and programs that help families navigate life before, during, and after treatment.

Your donation does more than fund a nonprofit—it reminds a family that hope still exists on the hardest days.
