At Not My Son, our mission is to reform policy and community climate in Dallas through innovative programs and services that support underserved families. Guided by our vision to help the parent to impact the child, we believe that supporting parents is key to empowering children and uplifting entire communities.

Our work is built on three key pillars: Community Outreach, Social Activism, and Civic Engagement.

• Community Outreach: We connect directly with families in South Dallas, providing essential resources like school supplies, uniforms, and support programs that help parents and children thrive.

• Social Activism: We advocate for systemic change, working to address the educational and social disparities that affect underserved families. Through activism, we push for policies that create equitable opportunities for all.

• Civic Engagement: We encourage community members to take an active role in shaping their future through voter registration, education, and participation in local governance.

Our programs, such as the Back to School Festival of Knowledge and the Project Care Initiative, are designed to meet both the immediate needs of families and address the broader systemic issues they face. By focusing on parents, we aim to create a positive ripple effect that strengthens the entire family and community.
