Help Women Reclaim Their Lives

POWER's mission is to help women reclaim their lives from addiction and related mental health challenges while improving the well-being of future generations.

Women experience addiction differently. Many have survived trauma, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, or other adverse experiences. They often face barriers to treatment, including stigma, caregiving responsibilities, and financial hardship. Without specialized care, recovery can feel out of reach.

Your gift during Pittsburgh Gives Critical Needs Alert #ONEDAY helps ensure that every woman can access life-changing treatment and recovery support, regardless of her ability to pay.

POWER provides gender-responsive, trauma-informed services that address the unique needs of women in recovery. Each year, more than 1,200 people turn to POWER for compassionate care, hope, and a path forward.

Our continuum of care includes:

  • POWER Restore: A 21-bed detox and rehab program

  • POWER House: Residential treatment

  • POWER New Day: Intensive outpatient treatment

  • POWER Connection: Peer mentoring and long-term recovery support

When women heal, families grow stronger, children thrive, and communities become healthier.

Voices of Recovery

"I always thought I was a bad person trying to get good, but now I know through POWER that I was just a sick person trying to get well. And once I learned that, it was so easy to love myself and to forgive myself." — Peggy

"I had to relearn how to live in the real world. My mentor helped me create the foundation that saved my life." — Yvonne
