PRODEV USA is a Haitian-led organization working to strengthen education in Haiti and expand opportunities for children and young people. It connects the Haitian diaspora, educators, researchers, donors, and allies to share knowledge, build partnerships, and advocate for a stronger, more equitable education system. Through its partnership with PRODEV in Haiti, it supports schools, teacher development, and innovative programs that keep children affected by displacement and crisis connected to learning. PRODEV USA invites individuals and organizations to join through advocacy, partnership, philanthropy, and collective action.

About PRODEV Haiti

PRODEV Haiti was founded in 1995 by Max Pénette, his daughter Maryse Pénette-Kedar, Haiti’s former Secretary of Tourism, and Daniel Kedar to help bridge the educational gap affecting children from low-income families. In Haiti, more than 85% of students rely on private schools due to the limited availability of public schools, forcing many families living in poverty to spend over 60% of their income on tuition. Despite these sacrifices, access to quality education remains uncertain, and many schools operate without proper licensing. PRODEV envisions a future where all citizens have access to education and are empowered to actively contribute to a just, democratic, and prosperous society.
