Project Mom Bags

When your child is in the Cardiac ICU, comfort can feel out of reach. Project Mom Bags was created to bring a small touch of care and support to moms during their hardest moments. We provide thoughtfully packed bags filled with comfort and hygiene essentials — reminding moms they are not alone.

Project Mom Bags is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting moms with children in the cardiac ICU.
Our comfort bags are thoughtfully packed with essential items, such as a toothbrush, blanket, towel, and toiletries—to provide dignity, comfort, and a sense of being cared for during long hospital stays. Whether it’s day one or day fifty, our goal is to remind moms:
You are seen. You are supported. You are not alone.

In 2025, 137 Mom Bags were delivered with care, compassion, and community support. 

In 2026, our goal is to increase our impact by donating 300 Mom Bags to mothers living in the Cardiac ICU with their babies and launch our NICU Postpartum Program across our 3 Texas hospitals. 

Our goal of $30,000 will help us provide:

• 300 Long Term Stay Mom Bags for moms of babies admitted to Cardiac Intensive Care Units (CVICU) across Texas
• 100 Postpartum Mini Mom Bags for moms of babies admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) across Texas
• Email heartmoms@projectmombags.com for information on helping sponsor community events for each of our partnered hospitals!
