The Solanco Food Bank has been serving southern Lancaster County since 1990. In 2012, a group of pastors known as the Solanco Pastor’s Fellowship created Solanco Neighborhood Ministries (SNM) to further help under-resourced individuals and families meet their basic needs of food, clothing, housing, and utilities. Today, SNM’s mission remains the same and can be summarized by: Engaging families. Meeting needs. Giving hope.
We strive to build meaningful relationships that will provide a support network, promote personal and spiritual growth, and break the cycle of poverty in southern Lancaster County. Our most recent strategic plan (May 2025) helped us cast a vision to effect change in five focus areas: food security, educational programming, transportation, community awareness & sustainability, and housing.
As the only Choice Pantry Food Bank and social service organization in the southern end, we are committed to meeting the growing needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.
