JPII Newman Center

$975 raised by 12 donors

The courtyard is the center of life at JPII Newman! Students gather for games, discipleship, grill outs, s'mores, and much more. In getting used year-round for 10 years, it is starting to show wear and tear. Help us replace the furniture and other items to make our courtyard more beautiful and usable for the students.  Thank you for your support!

Who We Are

The St. John Paul II Newman Center opened its doors to students in 2016. What started out as a vision to house UNO's Mav Catholic movement bloomed into a sanctuary for Catholic students from all of Omaha's colleges and universities. The new building brought our mission out of the darkness into the light, and the fruits are remarkable. We couldn't be prouder to proclaim our success!

125+ students participate in community nights
200+ students participate in Bible Studies
150+ students live in Newman Hall
50+ students attend daily mass
19 students this year have joined the Catholic Church through OCIA at JPII Newman

At a time when young people are leaving the faith, JPII Newman is a beacon of light and hope - providing college aged students an encouraging community and a place to live their Catholic Faith!
