Sunshine Group of Erie

For over 50 years, the Sunshine Group of Erie has been an all-volunteer organization dedicated to helping those in need, homeless, veterans, shelters, food pantries, nursing homes, hospice, soup kitchens and local non-profits serving the needy by delivering Sunshine Boxes filled with much needed items for daily living and to bring joy to children who may not otherwise receive needed school items or toys. We donate thousands of these boxes each year filled with winter weather items, school supplies, toys, books, household items, handmade wheelchair and walker bags, neck pillows, lap robes, hygiene items, homemade hats & scarves, stuffed animals, socks, toiletries and many hand sewn, crocheted or knitted items and much more. Most items are made from donated supplies but sometimes items need to be purchased. We also pay rent, utilities and insurance. This year we may be making a move to a new location and will need help with costs for this transition.
