For more than 30
years, the Aviation Museum of Kentucky has been the heart of our Commonwealth’s
aviation story-a place where history is preserved, curiosity takes flight, and
future aviators discover their wings.

Designated as
Kentucky’s official aviation museum in 2006, AMK celebrates the pioneers who
shaped our skies while inspiring new generations through hands-on STEM and
aerospace education.

Each year, we reach
hundreds of students across Kentucky through summer aviation camps, NASA-supported
initiatives, and year-round programs such as Flight Simulator Sundays, Drone Workshops,
and the Build a Bede BD-5 aircraft in our Learning Lab. These experiences spark curiosity and create clear pathways into aviation, engineering, and
aerospace professions.
