The mission of the Utah Down Syndrome Foundation is to provide hope to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community through support, outreach, education, advocacy, and activities. Established in 1977, UDSF foucuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome while encouraging and supporting their family members and caregivers.

UDSF has various programs offering support to parents and caregivers. The New Parent Program provides a care package to familes who have received a Down syndrome diagnosis for their child. This care package is hand delivered by a trained mentor. Each care package includes gifts to welcome them to the DS community and resoucres to help guide them. Quarterly new parent breakfasts are also offered to allow new families to connect with other familes and to be educated on the valuable resources that are available. Quarterly "Down to Learn" webinars are also available to families and cover various topics to help with each stage of their child's life. 

Monthly and quarterly activities are avaialble to Love. Lift. Launch. individuals and families. These activities support the social needs of the DS community. 

UDSF advocates for the DS community by educating and encouraging acceptance and inclusion. Individuals with Down syndrome can live a life full of possibilites. UDSF gives hope and turns the impossible to "I'm possible".
