Utah Food Allergy Network Inc

UFAN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and is operated by volunteers.

Our mission is to provide outreach to those newly diagnosed with food allergies and the community at large, offering support, promoting education, building awareness of the severity of food allergies and anaphylaxis, and advocating for positive change.

Over 314,184 Utahns have food allergies, including 56,553 children under the age of 18 years. 

Recent activities by the Utah Food Allergy Network include:

• Supporting Utah School Nurses in efforts to stock schools with non student-specific, life-saving epinephrine devices
• Organizing food-free holiday events such as a Halloween trunk or treat and Easter egg hunt
• Living with Food Allergies Mental Health Initiatives
• Education on Section 504 as a tool to help keep food allergic children safe in school
• Presentations to Utah school nurses
• Work with Utah schools to enhance their food allergy safety protocols
