Brewster McLeod’s vision to open a concept that employs members of the disabled and special needs community was always rooted in coffee. It brings people together and allows for a friendly, quiet atmosphere. The employees are proud to have a space that welcomes differently abled people. Through the community we hope McLeod's Coffee House inspires other businesses to employ special needs staff across the city and throughout Central Kentucky.

McLeod’s Coffee House is a non-denominational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are led by a Board of Directors consisting of nine business men and women who have a heart for meeting the needs of the mentally and physically challenged in our community. 

Our staff is comprised of two shift leaders/managers, a front of house manager and 30-40 V.I.P.s (special needs adults) who serve as greeters, point of sale, food handlers, and cleanup crew. 

The vibe of our coffee shop is inclusive, safe, and welcoming. There is a variety of drink options with breakfast and lunch food choices that adapt seasonally for our local community.
