Ashland Terrace is home to thirty-five vibrant women, all 60 and older, who are an important part of the greater Lexington community. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity, we are grateful to offer an all-inclusive, supportive home where our residents enjoy not only comfort and safety, but also three nutritious meals a day, weekly housekeeping with fresh linens and towels, weekday transportation, and a full calendar of activities and outings.

Lexington is facing a critical challenge: safe, affordable housing for older women of limited means is increasingly scarce, while across the nation, social isolation and loneliness among seniors are reaching epidemic levels. For 175 years, Ashland Terrace has met both of these needs by providing a unique, non-profit model of affordable residential living that fosters belonging, connection, and community.
As housing costs continue to rise, our commitment remains the same: to keep Ashland Terrace an accessible and affordable option for older women. But we cannot do it alone.
