Camp Friendship

Camp Friendship started in the mid-1970s as a safe place for children to play and grow. Neighbors supported the organization and stepped up to help the children build a supportive community. Since then, the organization has grown its scope to look after not only children but also their families.

We continue to offer youth programs, which are led by adults who themselves grew up in the program. Their love and support makes it possible for kids from across the area get to know each other while improving their sports skills, academic prowess and artistic abilities. We also have a baseball program (and two championship teams!) that aims to give teens interested in the sport a way to play more, while staying focused in school and developing a community of like-minded teens. All these programs are free of charge for families who need support. 

Additionally, we have a food pantry which offers nutrient dense food. We deliver these same offerings to homebound seniors. During our pantry, we partner with other organizations to offer legal supports and English classes. Our families work hard to support their children and their health. Our goal is to be place that cheers them on and continues to be a safe space for our families to depend on so that they can continue to grow and thrive in Brooklyn.
