Clark County Community Services

Clark County Community Services is a nonprofit social services agency in Winchester, KY that provides food, clothing, housing, and utility assistance to families in crisis.

Our thrift store, CC's Closet, accepts donations of gently used clothing, housewares, toys, etc. and sells them at a discounted rate in the store. The proceeds go toward our monthly food bill, which ranges between $8,500 and $9,000 each month. Each month, we feed an over 1,600 people. In 2025, we have seen over 600 new clients.

Food is not our only expense, however. We assist clients with disconnected water and electric bills. Another service we provide is transient assistance. We spent over $18,000 in 2024 providing transportation to a safe place for individuals who were stranded, had been released from incarceration, or had exited treatment programs. We also provide non-perishables and warming packs to unhoused individuals.

With food costs consistently rising, we need community support to complete our mission of helping Clark Countians in need. Due to our funding sources, donations are essential to our organization.
