Goshen Players, Inc.

Please help us keep the heat on in Goshen’s historic Old Town Hall!

This year, we’re asking our community to come together during the Give Local campaign to help us reach our fundraising goal of $6,000 toward a vital building project. Every dollar brings us closer to completing an essential upgrade that will keep our theater welcoming and functional for years to come.

Our most urgent need is replacing the aging furnace in our historic theater. At nearly 20 years old, the current system is no longer reliable and struggles to keep our space warm and safe during the colder months. A new furnace—estimated at $10,000—will provide consistent heat, protect our beloved 1895 building, and ensure a comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From performers and volunteers to audience members, this upgrade will make a real difference in every production next season and beyond.

Since 1949, Goshen Players has been bringing people together through the magic of live theater. As one of Connecticut’s longest-running community theater groups, we are proud to be 100% volunteer-driven and deeply rooted in the historic Old Town Hall. For 77 seasons, this space has been filled with creativity, laughter, friendship and connection—and with your help, it will continue to be.

Your support truly matters. Whether it’s a small gift or a larger contribution, every donation helps us preserve this special place and keep the arts thriving in our community.

Thank you for being such an important part of the Goshen Players family.

Who We Are

"Preserving our theater, one brick at a time!"

Founded in 1949, Goshen Players, Inc. is one of the longest continuously running community theater groups in northwest Connecticut, and the only theater in the area to offer cabaret seating! We are located in the Old Goshen Town Hall (built in 1895) and our group is committed to honoring the building’s historic appearance as we maintain and update our theater.

This past year has been a difficult time for all of us, and the Goshen Players need your help! We are a 100% volunteer organization and while we have adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic by performing several virtual shows, the costs of maintaining our historic home remain. Our most immediate need is to rebuild our two chimneys to preserve the historical integrity of our building. With a cost exceeding $13,000 this project is no small task! We are seeking out grants to help with the project, and some grants require us to match funding. This is where YOU come in...

Can you help us? We know that there is a lot of need out there, especially this year, and no donation amount is too small! Everyone who donates to this year’s Give Local campaign will be included in a commemorative plaque at the theater - please join our theater family today to help preserve this historic landmark!

$25 - buys a brick!
$50 - mixes our cement!
$100 - pays the mason!
$250 - stacks our stacks!
