Greeneprints, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Greeneprints Inc. is the 501(c)(3) that runs

Camp Fort Greene.

Summer 2023 was our ten year anniversary, and we distributed

a record $32,750 in camp scholarships.

Our goal for Summer 2024 is $40,000 so that we can increase socio-economic diversity at Camp Fort Greene even more. We ardently believe that our scholarship program also helps increase diversity across lines of race, ethnicity, and home language. Diversity is just one point of focus at Camp Fort Greene, as we build diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging (DEIJB) in our systems and policies to inform camp culture.

Camp Fort Greene is a  thriving,
STEAM-focused summer program.

We have been able to
consistently deliver low-cost, high quality childcare to families
in Brooklyn.

We have always believed
that our values align with the
people of Brooklyn. In addition to our robust scholarship program, Greeneprints maintains the integrity of
our signature program, Camp Fort Greene, through our STEAM-focused curricular plans, where the *E* stands for environmental
stewardship, as well as DEIJB intentionality in hiring, partnerships, internal systems,
and organizational structures and policies.

In our family-centered
summer program,

historically marginalized people find a place where they
belong.

At Camp Fort Greene, counselors
help young people reach their fullest potential in a warm, nurturing environment where children grow, discover, and, most importantly, play. Camp Fort Greene recognizes children’s inherent sense of wonder,
creativity, and thirst for knowledge. Counselors support our
campers but
encourage children to feel a certain bold confidence in their own abilities, as
we know that, given the right tools for investigation and research, they are
fully capable of figuring things out on their own.

Camp Fort Greene also honors
the hazy, lazy, dream-like quality of July and August. We have a high regard
and respect for daydreams. We value the fine art of spinning around and around
until the spinner becomes dizzy and collapses in a heap of breathless giggles.
We seek dandelions to pluck and blow into a summer breeze. We want our campers
to know the wonder of friendship, enjoy the beauty of the natural world,
and experience the magic of summer.

We are genuinely grateful for the opportunities to provide the low-cost, high quality summer learning and summer fun that the people of Brooklyn have supported in our program in the past, and we are hopeful for your generosity to have a direct and positive impact on young people served by Greeneprints in Camp Fort  Greene, now and in the future.
