communities remain a place where people can find relief and restoration through
the care, compassion and prayer of it's people in the name of Christ.
While our Hill Country communities faced the devastation of
flooding, your faithfulness allowed us to respond quickly. We processed and
distributed record amounts of supplies from all over the country, while also
providing long term care through case management, partnerships with home
restoration groups, the love of Christ, and special provisions for the long
road to recovery.
We realized quickly that God had prepared us with the
resources, partnerships and infrastructure “...for such a time as this”.
We are so grateful for all of the ways you have helped
our most vulnerable neighbors work towards a better life, and you have given
them opportunities to experience Christ’s love.
This year, your support during the Big Give will provide
vital services and transform the lives of families, children and the elderly.
These are people who live in desperation…unable to meet their basic
needs. Your donations through Big Give allow us to provide case
management, referrals, Christian mentoring, and our no-fee food bank which
distributes over $6 million worth of basic essentials through our combined
programs including 125 non-profits in eight counties.
YOUR GIFTS HELP TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS
We are a toolbox of resources for the community to serve
their neighbor in need in the name of Christ. Our programs center on the
integration of physical resources with loving and consistent one on one Christ
centered relationships.

Individuals and families facing crisis situations are
provided support. This program ensures that those in distress have access
to the food supplies they need, offering support and hope during challenging
times. Nobody is turned away.
Families living in need are given food, diapers, clothing
personal hygiene, household items and special children’s resources. Clients
are given the opportunity for Christian mentoring with case management
support, and referrals to help them end the cycle of poverty.
Establishment of Family Mentoring Resource Programs in area
churches. These churches receive training, administrative and case management
support.
At-risk students grades K-12th are matched with
Christian mentors who provide support and guidance while modeling God's love.
After School and summer enrichment programs accompany year -round mentoring and
case management.
Our no-fee regional food bank distributes over $6.0 million
worth of food, diapers, clothing, and essential supplies to more than 125
nonprofit partners, including specialized resources for disaster relief.
HCDBM is committed to providing "celebration"
necessities that illustrate God's special love for at-risk children. This
program includes: Children's Bibles & Devotionals, Birthday Supplies,
Clothing, Easter Baskets, Thanksgiving Meals & Christmas Gifts.
