This September, during National Recovery Month and Big
Give SA, we’re launching our Garden of Hope!  Every gift will plant a flower with a message
of encouragement for our clients — a daily reminder that they are not alone in
their recovery journey.

Lifetime Recovery’s mission is to transform lives through comprehensive substance use disorder treatment, grounded in our commitment to making quality care accessible to all. Since 1963, we have provided essential counseling, coaching, and recovery supportive services that help individuals achieve and maintain sobriety—empowering them to become healthy, productive members of the community.

Our programs include Residential Treatment, Outpatient Counseling, Recovery Coaching, and Supportive Services that operate year-round. Our continuum of care bridges a critical gap for individuals who may have no insurance or financial means, offering a pathway to recovery where none might otherwise exist. Data shows that Lifetime’s programs increase family reunification and stable employment, while reducing child neglect, homelessness, ER visits, recidivism, and reliance on government assistance.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we have recently expanded and modernized our residential campus to foster dignity and healing for both men and women. These improvements send a powerful message to every person we serve: recovery is attainable, and hope for a brighter future is within reach.

This September, during National Recovery Month, we invite you to be part of our “Garden of Hope.” For every $25 donated, a flower and message of encouragement will be added to our Garden wall in the dining hall—where every client will see daily reminders that they are not alone. Your contribution today does more than provide meals, treatment, and counseling; it plants hope and creates a visible symbol of love and support for all walking the path of recovery.

Who We Are

Lifetime Recovery is a Chemical Dependency Treatment Center located in San Antonio founded in 1963. We provide effective and affordable treatment of substance use disorders, specifically for Bexar County and South Texas residents with limited financial and medical resources . At present, we offer residential treatment for men only, outpatient services & recovery support services for men, women and families.

One of our most effective programs is the Recovery Links program that offers recovery coaching and support services for individuals who complete treatment. In this program, an individual is assigned to a coach for two years with weekly check-ins where support, community services, and other essential building blocks are offered to help individuals become self-supportive individuals. Many who enter treatment do so at the very bottom of their emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial resources. Putting these life supports back together can take a long time. Your financial contribution provides the coaching resources to so that these individuals can become self-sufficient members of society saving society untold dollars in social service funding.
