Who We Are

Each year, the Mark Morris Dance Group (Discalced, Inc.) thrills audiences worldwide with performances of innovative work and engages communities with educational programs that bring the joy of dance to people of all ages and abilities on tour and in NYC.

With contributed income providing 40% of the support necessary for annual programs, individauls in our community play an active role in our success, to support:

• New and restaged works by Mark Morris
• Rehearsals, international touring and community engagement by the Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble
• 150+ free and low-cost dance classes each week with live music at the Dance Center,
• Regular master classes with the Mark Morris Dance Group members,
• 6,700+ subsidized studio rentals for local artists,
• Free in-school residencies in 21 partners schools for public school students,
• Free weekly classes for NYC public housing residents, and
• Free programs for people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners in 25 countries, and so much more.
