Our family-friendly library is known for our welcoming staff and volunteers. Here at Mason-Dixon Public Library, we have a special love for the arts. We host art shows and receptions throughout the year. We also offer fun and educational activities for everyone in the family, including regular book discussion groups, author visits, lectures, crafts and our "Third Wednesday Series" of community programming. Our Story Time programs are designed to meet state educational standards and are held in a special area just for kids! Families especially enjoyed our "Summer Submarine" that magically sailed to many faraway places, but always returned home to Stewartstown. Last summer we created a "Giant Rainbow I Spy" with clues that could assist in finding the week's hidden object within one of the rainbow's colored bands. What is happening this summer?  Dinosaur searching, fossil hunting, writing like an Egyptian, and maybe an eruption! Come visit us and find out.

Inside our walls you’ll find bestselling books, community gathering spaces, free Internet, a fireplace, and a Quiet Reading Room with artwork from local artists. Outside, enjoy our Native Plant Garden Patio, or check out a Birding Backpack to set off on your own adventure.
