Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill (SVPH) is more than a historic site—it’s a living testament to the Kentucky Shakers and their enduring lessons of community, ingenuity and sustainable living.

The Shakers who built Pleasant Hill more than 200 years ago shaped every part of their daily lives through their beliefs—from the way they farmed and crafted to the way they cared for one another. Today, those values remain at the heart of Shaker Village. Every restored building, every protected acre and every guest experience reflects the same spirit of purpose and connection that defined this community.

Since 1961, Shaker Village has relied on charitable giving to preserve and share this legacy. In 2025, nearly 40% of our annual operating budget will be funded by individuals and families who believe this place matters.

Give by December 31 and your gift will be doubled. Thanks to the Shaker Village Board of Trustees and committed friends of the Village, every donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $350,000. That means your support will go twice as far in preserving history, protecting the landscape and inspiring the more than 100,000 guests who experience Shaker Village each year.
