What Your Donation Supports

Because of generous donors, Sun, Moon & Stars offers a wide range of inclusive programming throughout the year.

Your support helps fund:

• 
  Inclusive clubs and events, including art programs, LEGO® clubs, holiday celebrations, and supper clubs—where children can socialize in a safe, welcoming environment


• 
  The Watertown Stars, our adaptive sports programs that allow children to experience teamwork, confidence, and belonging


• 
  StarFish Swim Club, an adaptive water safety and swim program that builds independence and saves lives

Your gift also supports experiences that many families never thought would be possible.

For the past nine years, Sun, Moon & Stars has partnered with the Railroad Museum of New England to create the Autism Friendly Santa Express. What began as one coach car serving about 60 guests has grown into two time slots welcoming over 800 guests—with expansions that now include a Sensory‑Friendly Easter Bunny Express and Pumpkin Patch Train.

For many families, these trains are not just special events. They are firsts. First holiday traditions. First public outings without fear of judgment. First memories where their child could fully participate.

Through our partnership with the Strand Theater, families experience sensory‑friendly movies—watching familiar favorites like Toy Story, Cars, Elf, and Home Alone in an environment designed for neurodivergent needs.

For seven years, our partnership with Glazey Days has allowed children to explore ceramic crafting, creativity, and self‑expression—often discovering talents and confidence that shine far beyond the studio.

And through our parent support programs, caregivers build connections with others who understand their journey—strengthening families and reducing isolation.
