The Washington Community Housing Trust is a non-profit organization
which was formed in 1987 by local clergy along with ably guided volunteer citizens, who were dedicated to establish and maintain affordable housing in the Town of
Washington. With the help of Town, State and many generous donors, the Washington Community Housing Trust
has developed 37 affordable apartments between its three properties; Church Street Apartments in New Preston, Dodge Farm Apartments and Riverwoods Apartments in Washington Depot.
More recently in 2020, the Washington Community Housing Trust developed the Vincent Farm property, which consists of three affordable homes for purchase.
Presently, the Trust is working to put together future projects to build more affordable housing rentals and home sales.
The town of Washington and surrounding towns are struggling to keeps it's local workforce living within the towns in which they serve. Please help us to help them maintain and live affordably in Washington and New Preston.
