Kenya Intern!

Dear Friends and Family,

I wanted to share what God has been doing in my life within the past year and what he has called me to do this year. I am so excited to still be at Letourneau University in Longview Texas as an Education major, where I have the opportunity to learn how to positively impact the lives of children. I recently started a job working with a family helping with after school care while attending college. Since I have been in Texas, I serve in the kids ministry at High Ridge Christian Church and I have loved being able to teach little ones about the good news of Jesus! 

    Now for some really exciting news! As you might remember, I went on a mission trip last summer for ten days through Bread of Life to reach the unreached people groups in Kenya. To say I enjoyed it and learned a lot would be an understatement. I LOVED it and thank you so much to all my supporters that made that trip possible! I loved it so much that I have an amazing opportunity to go again but this time as an intern. 

This summer, I will be interning at Bread of Life June 20th- August 3rd. To learn more about Bread of Life please visit breadoflifeafrica.com. I am so excited to see how God is going to impact the Turkanan people and excited to learn what God is going to teach me while I am preparing for this trip and while I am on this trip! During my internship in Turkana I will be teaching English in the  first ever elementary school in the area and helping spread christianity to the Turkanan people!

I would like to ask you to consider partnering with me on this trip. Without other people praying, supporting, and telling others about the work God is doing, my ability to reach and care for people will be limited. I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider joining me on the mission in one of several ways. 

Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have. Bread of Life needs prayer for the teams that will be out there, for me as I teach in the schools, as hearts are preparing to go, prayer for God to do what only he can do to change hearts and lives of others.

I am raising funds to cover the costs of this trip which will be $4,000. If your heart is led to financially support the work God is doing in Kenya, you can make a tax deductible donation towards my mission on this site. 

And last but not least, to share the works that God is doing as you are led and presented with opportunities, consider sharing my story with others and invite them to partner with me in prayer or through generosity.
