Build the Future with Sekoly Kintana
Sekoly Kintana is no longer just a dream. It is real.
We first opened our doors in 2024 as a micro-school with seven students. Since that time we have laid a solid foundation. We have proof of concept. Families are trusting us. Children are loving school. Our staff is in place. The energy is real, the learning is real, and the vision is working.
Now it is time to build the next stage well.
Sekoly Kintana takes its name from the Malagasy word for star. That name reflects our belief in the infinite potential of every child and in the transformative power of education. We are building a school in Madagascar that centers love, learning, leadership, joy, rigor, and dignity. We are building a place where children can grow intellectually, emotionally, and culturally, and where Malagasy identity is treated as central to our shared future.
We chose Montessori because it starts from curiosity, creativity, hands-on learning, and deep understanding rather than rote memorization. We want children who are not only academically competent, but also resilient, confident, thoughtful, and eager to learn. We want a school that respects diverse learners, supports neurodiversity, and prepares children not just for exams, but for life.
What we have now is strong. What we need next is investment.
Between now and Giving Tuesday (December 1, 2026), we want to raise $50,000 to secure our training, materials, and technology budget for the next three years.
This is not about keeping the lights on. Tuition covers our basic daily operations. This campaign is about quality and growth. It is about making sure that the school we are building has the tools, teacher development, and educational resources to become the kind of model Madagascar needs.
Your gift will help us invest in teacher training, assistant orientation, Montessori materials, books, classroom technology including Chromebooks, stronger internet and tech infrastructure, and the furniture and learning tools needed to support a growing school. It will help us move from a promising beginning to a stable and excellent future.
We are not trying to build something flashy. We are trying to build something real, strong, and lasting.
Sekoly Kintana is part of a bigger vision. Our long-term goal is to help more children in Madagascar complete a meaningful course of education, become deeply literate and capable, and grow up with access to a future that is both locally rooted and globally open. We believe education can change life outcomes, communities, and the future of a nation.
If you believe in investing in children, in teachers, in dignity, and in the future of Madagascar, we invite you to join the Friends of Sekoly Kintana.
Help us build this well.
