At In Our Own Voices, Inc., we don’t just serve our community—we fight for it, build for it, and lead with it.

For years, LGBTQ+ People of Color in New York’s Capital Region have faced barriers to care, safety, and opportunity. Systems were not built with us in mind—and too often, we were left out entirely.

So we did what we’ve always done.

We built our own.

Today, we are creating a new LGBTQ+ Center—a space rooted in dignity, healing, and power. This center will expand:

• Life-saving health and wellness services
• Anti-violence advocacy and survivor support
• Youth programming and safe spaces
• A fully equipped community pantry and teaching kitchen
• Culturally responsive care designed by and for LGBTQ+ People of Color

This is more than a building.
This is infrastructure for equity. This is a home for our community.

But we cannot do this alone.
