Dear Family and Friends,

My Name is Alston Harris.

I am presently a senior at Palisades High School in Charlotte, NC. I am participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The Beautillion is used as a vehicle to raise funds for scholarships, as well as build character, enhance positive moral and social growth, and leadership skills of young men moving into young adulthood. To be involved in this program is a prestigious affair, and I am honored to have the opportunity to be interviewed, and selected to participate in the program which will convene on August 22, 2026.

I have been a varsity track athlete since my freshman year of high school and a member of the A.V.I.D club and the BSU club. This school year, I will also be involved with Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), HOSA and Teens for Courage. Other activities I participate in include:

• BAM (Becoming A Man) Program at The Park Church 

• Youth First Impressions Ministry at The Park Church

I plan to study Animal Science or Architectural Engineering in college to pursue a career as a Veterinarian or an Architect. Your financial support will enable me to earn a scholarship through the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Program, assisting me in financing my college education.
