My name is Carson Young,

I am presently a senior at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina. I am participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

The Beautillion is used as a vehicle to raise funds for scholarships, as well as build character, enhance positive moral and social growth, and develop leadership skills in young men moving into young adulthood. To be involved in this organization is a prestigious honor, and I feel honored to have been recommended and selected to participate in the program.

I have been involved in a variety of leadership, service, and extracurricular activities throughout high school. I currently serve as the Founder and President of the Black Student Union at Nation Ford High School, as well as Chapter President and Regional Teen Sergeant-at-Arms for Jack and Jill of America. I have also been an active member of Kappa League for five years and have developed a passion for broadcast journalism through my work as a Student Broadcaster and Media Producer for NAFO-TV.

I plan to study Broadcast Journalism, Sports Media, or a related field upon entering college and further my education as I work toward becoming a sports broadcaster and media professional. Your gift will enable me to earn scholarship support and assist me in financing my education.
