Beau Cedric "CJ" Witherspoon II

Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Cedric “CJ” Witherspoon II, and I am the son of Cedric and Dana Witherspoon. I am a senior at North Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am honored to have been selected to participate in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

The Beautillion Militaire is a distinguished program designed to provide scholarship opportunities while encouraging young men to develop strong character, leadership skills, positive moral and social values, and a sense of responsibility as they transition into young adulthood. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this prestigious program, which will culminate with the Beautillion Militaire celebration on May 2, 2027.

Throughout my high school career, I have been committed to personal growth, leadership, athletics, and community involvement. These experiences have helped me develop discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and a desire to give back to my community. I look forward to continuing my involvement in leadership and community service as I enter the next chapter of my education.

Some of the organizations and activities in which I have participated include:

• North Mecklenburg High School Varsity Football Team
• Mallard Creek High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Teams
• St. Mark’s United Methodist Church Youth Group and Usher Board
• Kappa League
• The Academy of Goal Achievers
• Right Moves for Youth Twilight 5K

Following graduation, I plan to attend North Carolina Central University, where I aspire to continue my football career while pursuing my education. Although I am still exploring my academic options, I am particularly interested in Sports Management and the many career opportunities within the sports industry.
