Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Kyle Phillip,

I am currently a senior at Jay M Robinson High School in Concord, NC. I am participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

The Beautillion is used as a vehicle to raise funds for scholarships, as well as build character, enhance positive moral and social growth, and leadership skills of young men moving into young adulthood. To be involved in this organization is a prestigious affair, and I feel honored to have been recommended, and selected to participate in the program.

I have been involved in the Black Student Union (BSU) and the Beta Club at my school. I also have been involved with the International Center for Community Development (ICCD), where I tutored and mentored kids from underserved communities. I plan to get involved in other community service organizations once I enroll in college. 

I hope to go to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and study computer science upon entering college. I plan to further my educational studies to become a computer scientist- software developer. Your gift will enable me to earn a scholarship which will assist me in financing my education.
