Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Matthew Walters, and I am a rising senior at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am honored to participate in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

The Beautillion program provides young men with opportunities to develop leadership, character, professionalism, and positive values while raising funds for scholarships. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and grow alongside other young men committed to making a difference in their communities.

Throughout high school, I have challenged myself academically, athletically, and through leadership. I currently serve as Executive President of Student Government, after previously serving as Executive Vice President. I have also served two consecutive years on the Executive Council, as a Junior Marshall, and rank among the top 10% of my graduating class.

After high school, I plan to attend college to pursue Finance and Sports Management. My goal is to combine my passion for sports with business and financial knowledge and build a career in areas such as sports finance, sports media, management, business operations, or sports marketing.
