In May of 2006, Cindy Rosencrans was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a subtype that represents just 15% of breast cancers.  Unfortunatetly, none of the relatively new and potent targeted therapies to fight BC are effective against Triple Negative BC.  Though expecting that research for new treatments would not come in time to benefit her, Cindy created a research fund at Johns Hopkins to help save those that would come after her.  Sadly, after only 3 short years, Cindy lost her ferocious battle against this disease.

We ran the 26.2 miles of the Marine Corps Marathon on October 28, 2012, in honor of Cindy's courage, grace, strength and spirit, and to raise funds to continue the efforts she began to prevent and treat this disease.

Thank you so much for your GENEROUS support!!  With the help of more than 100 donors, we exceeded our goal and raised more than $21,000 for the Cindy Rosencrans Triple Negative Breast Cancer Fund at Johns Hopkins.
