Every new research piece I read indicates that early learning is critical to education, to our future ... so critical that preschools abound .... However it is even more paramount that early education provides the most effective problem solving and critical thinking environment and stimulation available with active adult supervision and guidance.
Early literacy is about talking and reading to and with our young future engineers, doctors, educators, etc the leaders of the new world we are fast approaching every day. Its about helping them design and build block structures and sharing that skill with each other. Learning to help their friends, share, take turns and so often these skills can only be acquired in an environment that has a well trained navigator (teacher).
Funding for this most important and most valuable component of education sadly too often rests with inadequate government provisions that's why I support and contribute to the foundation that is taking a very proactive approach to making early education available to all our future big thinkers and problem solvers.

Funding will be used to increase access to high-quality education for at-risk children and low-income families, improve quality of programs, cultivate family engagement and community partnerships, develop training opportunities for educators, and provide required community matching funds for On My Way Pre-K students.
