Second Sunrise Rescue Needs your Help

At Second Sunrise Rescue, we believe every dog deserves the chance to wake up to a new beginning.

Many of the dogs who come to us have already experienced more than they ever should. Some have been abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, or simply left behind when their families could no longer care for them. Others are tiny puppies who arrive needing immediate medical attention before they are even old enough to understand what is happening around them.

When we say yes to a dog, we are saying yes to everything that comes with them. We provide food, vaccinations, medications, veterinary care, spay or neuter surgery, microchips, foster homes, and most importantly, a safe place where they can begin to trust again.

Recently, our rescue has faced some heartbreaking and very expensive medical cases. During one Parvo outbreak alone, eight puppies under three months old became critically ill. Despite everything being done to save them, two of those precious puppies did not survive. The remaining puppies fought hard, recovered, and were able to continue toward the lives they deserved. Their medical care cost our rescue close to **$7,000**.

For a small rescue, expenses like these can be overwhelming, but when a sick puppy is placed in our arms, we cannot look at them and say, “You are too expensive to save.”

We simply cannot.

Every dog that enters Second Sunrise Rescue becomes part of our family until the right family comes along. Our foster homes open their doors, lose sleep caring for sick puppies, clean messes, give medications, drive to veterinary appointments, work on training and socialization, and love these dogs through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

But rescue cannot happen without our community.

Your donation helps make their second chance possible.

A donation can help provide vaccinations for a puppy, medication for a sick dog, food for a foster home, testing for illnesses, emergency veterinary treatment, or the surgery that finally allows a dog to live without pain.

No amount is too small. When many people give a little, we can do something extraordinary together.

Second Sunrise Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and every contribution helps us continue saying **YES** to dogs who desperately need someone to believe their life is worth saving.

There will always be another frightened dog.

Another abandoned puppy.

Another medical emergency.

Another set of eyes looking at us and asking for one more chance.
