Each year, Escape the Shape selects a book connected to our international destination to help students prepare for a more meaningful cultural experience. Through literature, scholars gain insight into the stories, traditions, and lived experiences of people beyond their own communities—understanding that culture is shaped not only by history, but also through art and storytelling.
