In celebration of Mother’s Day, we’re proud to partner with Help a Mother Out for a Diaper Drive, because every caregiver deserves the support they need to care for their little ones. 💙

We’re collecting physical diaper donations at our San Francisco office, and you can also give online through this page.

About: 

Oakland-based Help a Mother Out provides diapers to families in need through community partners and advocates for diaper access, working toward a future where every baby has a healthy supply of diapers.

Did you know?

• Public assistance programs (like food stamps) don’t cover the cost of diapers
• 22% of all children under five years old in the U.S. live in poverty, and 1 out 
• of every 3 families struggles to afford diapers.
• If a family can’t afford diapers, a baby may spend extended periods of time in the same soiled diaper.
• Diapers cost $75-100/month out of pocket, which means that families are choosing between diapers and other basic needs like food, rent, and utilities.

What this means:

The severe health and social consequences for babies and families who do not have access to diapers are a big deal. Lack of enough diapers can lead to a whole mountain of problems for families in need: unhappy babies, unhealthy communities, undereducated toddlers, and under-employed adults. Something as basic as a diaper can have a significant impact on a family’s ability to become financially self-sufficient.
