A Parent Who Saw What the Program Does
Kerry Macfarland came to the Connecticut Invention Convention in 2022 as a parent and has been part of the program every year since. That view from the kitchen table, watching a student pick a problem and work it all the way through, is what led to a role inside the organization.
Today Kerry serves as Vice President of NextMinds, the organization behind the Connecticut Invention Convention, helping run the program from the other side of the table.
That mission is at the heart of Push for Entrepreneurship (PFE).
PFE brings students, families, educators and companies together on Saturday, November 7 at Fairfield University for a morning of push-ups. It is how the Connecticut Invention Convention keeps its programs open to students regardless of background or ability to pay.
Kerry's goal is $500, enough to put five students through the program. 100% of proceeds go directly to the Connecticut Invention Convention, and many employers will match your gift.
Join us in pushing entrepreneurship forward and helping ensure that every young person with an idea has the opportunity to see where it can take them.
