Mid-fundraiser update
Hello everyone! We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We here at L'Arche are coping well with the lockdown and social distancing measures, always finding new and creative ways to entertain ourselves at home!
We're more than halfway through our fundraiser and wanted to check in with everyone. So far, we've raised $3,936, plus $8,000 from a matching grant! Awesome! There are still 10 days left until the fundraising deadline, so we hope everyone keeps up the good work. Our community thanks you all once again for your help.

L'Arche Mobile
We face many obstacles in our daily routines these days, and there has obviously been great upheaval for the students and their campus life. We feel grateful to have been involved with them before such chaos. We also recognize it leaves them with time and space to take on various opportunities while they continue studying in a different capacity. For us in our community, our daily routine and identity is also in the midst of changes both internally and externally. Most pressing for our L'Arche community in Mobile are the financial challenges we now face after having to cancel three significant special events which were scheduled over the next six weeks.
Our idea is to challenge each student who participated in the Alternative Break this year to use some of their new-found time and space away from the classroom to help raise money for L'Arche Mobile. The will simply use whichever social media platform they desire to acquire only one donation per day. Throughout the month of April, each student will get at least one donation per day with the "ask" corresponding to the date. For example, April 1= $1; April 7 = $7; April 30 = $30. Easy, right? If each of our 55 participating students is able to achieve this bare minimum, it will raise just around of $26,000 for L'Arche Mobile! How cool is that? Plus, we have an individual committed to matching the final amount raised at the end of the day on April 30. Awesome!
