The 119th Boston Marathon will take place on April 20, 2015 and Hale will send up to 15 of its supporters to the starting line with some of the world's finest athletes. All of the money raised will fund "camperships"-- scholarships for children to attend summer camp-- and our runners are excited to race in support of Hale Reservation.
Our team was chosen from a very competitve group of applicants, selected for their passion for the outdoors and their desire to help children attend camp. For many runners, competing in the Boston Marathon is a lifelong dream. For many of Boston's underprivileged children, the prohibitive cost of attending summer camp makes coming to a place like Hale seem impossible. This April, members of our marathon team will cross the finish line, some for the first time, and make a priceless summer at Hale a reality for hundreds of children.
