Join us as we come together to mourn the loss of over 70 million cows, pigs, chickens and other farm animals are slaughtered each year and during their short lives, they endure horrific acts of cruelty. These animals who are overlooked or viewed as factories of food production as if they had no feelings. We will bear witness to what these gentle souls endure and encourage everyone to make more humane choices.

Green Mountain Animal Defenders (GMAD), a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non profit is holding a Walk For Farmed Animals on October 3rd in Burlington. Supporters will walk to raise awareness for these animals and to also bring in needed funds. Our funds will be used to address future cruelty and/or neglect cases. Last year's funds were used to transport bull to sanctuary, rescue dozens of chicks, support rescue goats, and help repair a sanctuary's tractor, a vital piece of equipment for caring for farmed animals.

Please support this effort to help animals who are suffering or recovering. We understand that many of you are not vegetarian or vegan, but there are many choices we can each make every day that can greatly reduce suffering. We hope supporting us in this walk will be one of them.
