Sechrist Elementary School normally hosts the Trojan Trot annually to raise funds the PTO disperses for school needs each year. For the 2020-2021 school year, in true pandemic fashion, we are pivoting and holding a virtual event that will support school initiatives for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Money from previous Trojan Trots has funded computer labs, performance risers, classroom software, and alternative seating options in all classrooms.
Our efforts this year will help us ensure we can continue purchasing educational software and support the innovative ways our amazing teachers continue to inspire our students. Please help us by contributing what you can at this time.
Students will track their movement from Friday, April 23 - Friday, April 30. Donations can be made as a flat pledge, or based on different amounts of time (per minute, per hour, per day). They can even be made based on different activities (i.e., your student gets one donation for walking, one for running, one for exercises, one for playground activities, one for yard work). You can make whatever arrangements meet the needs of your student and your family - the sky is the limit!
In order to continue a focus on building our community during this time, we will NOT track individual student fundraising, but will instead put our energy toward classroom fundraising competitions along with fun classroom prizes that celebrate all students and their hard work.
