Construction is underway! There is still time to get involved!

The slab is poured and construction is underway! Teams will begin on site and continue through the end of construction in early 2020.
There is still time to join in as a team, individual or corporate sponsor. If you know anyone still interested in getting involved, please encourage them, or if you know any companies that want to get involved, have them contact jeddington@baldwinhabitat.org..

What Is Women Build?
Women Build is dedicated to empowering women on the construction site, while raising funds towards sponsoring a house in Baldwin County, and then having the opportunity to work on that same house. This event brings together the women of Baldwin County as they grab their hammers and volunteer at the Habitat site. We all come together to help create a world where everyone has a decent and affordable place to call home.
How to get involved
We are looking for some hardworking women to lead a team of 7 individuals, or you can join a team, or your company can sponsor a team!
Each team will be required to raise $2,500 to go towards the house sponsorship for the Women Build House. Once registered, a builder will have a fundraising page that can be used to collect tax-deductible donations from friends and family via social media, email, or text message.
You will be provided with all tools, hardhats, a t-shirt as well as some other fun giveaways. Remember, construction or home improvement experience is not necessary for you or your team members.
Corporate Team sponsorship are also available.

Beginnings of Baldwin Habitat
In 1992, a group of concerned citizens met in a church Sunday school room and began the discussion on the need for affordable housing in Baldwin County.
Since that day in July, Baldwin Habitat has served more than 157 families through new construction, home repairs & rehabs.

Women Build is an opportunity to bring light to the fact that families with children, with a female head of household, make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing. Sixty-two percent of women say they cannot afford to purchase a home that meets their families needs.
Women Build is an opportunity for a local family to have access to tools and resources and create a better future for themselves.
