Please support us in our efforts to raise money for the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS as part of the Broadway Bares/SF Strips IV "Bares-a-Thon" 2019!
Broadway Bares is a burlesque show with a modern twist created in 1992 by Tony Award winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell as a way to raise awareness and money for those living with HIV/AIDS. In its first year, Mitchell and seven of his friends danced on a New York City bar and raised $8,000. Last year, the NY show's 28th edition raised $1.9 million!
Broadway Bares was first brought to San Francisco in 2016 by former Broadway Bares dancer Deb Leamy. Now, several years later in its 4th edition: Comic Strips, this striptease spectacular is still going strong. But, to ensure continued success, we really need YOUR help!!
This campaign raises money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which benefits programs that help mitigate the suffering of individuals in the United States affected by HIV/AIDS, and the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation, which provides aid to and support for HIV services, hunger programs, and homeless and disenfranchised youth right here in San Francisco.
This online campaign is a way for dancers and other supporters to maximize funds raised in addition to what is raised at the actual benefit show, which will take place on Sunday, June 16th at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. This show is an absolutely incredible collaboration of creative San Francisco talent who volunteer their time, artistry, and heart to support our cause, and we ask you for your support with financial contributions no matter how large or small.
If you would rather support in person, you can also CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS for the show, which is on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 8 PM at DNA Lounge. 100% of ticket proceeds go directly to BCEFA and REAF. We promise that Comic Strips is going to be a show you WON’T want to miss!
